Spring Flamingo Front Porch

It is going to be in the upper 90's this week here in Nor Cal, so I thought it was finally time to pick up the left over pine cones and add some color to my front walkway.

I don't have a huge porch area, but I do love how symmetrical mine is.  I wanted to keep the flower pot I made last fall but taking a regular flower pot, spraying it gold and creating stripes with white duct tape.  The most simplest project... and seriously the most eye catching from the street!

I chose to plant some fresh pink dalia's to add a pop of color.  They are perfect because they are full sun, and my front door gets west sun and can get smoking hot in the afternoon!
I also wanted to add a few summery things, like some beach drift wood the boys picked up on our beach camping trip, and a fun white coral.

I couldn't resist the pink flamingos!  I am debating about spraying them... not sure what color yet, but maybe a some gold legs?  They are so fun and just add a bit of whimsy!

It is week 1 for the Outdoor Extravaganza!  Hop over to the other talented ladies to check out what they are planting, and be sure to link yours up tomorrow to any of these blogs!

How fun! Adore the brightly colored plants and I bet your kids love those flamingos! I remember our neighbours having them back in the day and thinking they were a hoot.
