My House | It's Current State

Currently my house is in a season of change.  I mean, let's be honest, it is always in a phase of change, HA!  But this time it really it involves my boys.
I have a 4 bedroom house; 3 bedrooms are bedrooms and the 4th is a playroom for the boys.  Recently they have been asking to sleep together.  I would allow this on weekend nights, but after some thinking the hubs and I decided to let them share a room.  The final plan will be to install bunk beds in one room for the boys to sleep in and install 2 twin beds in one room for when M decides he wants his own room back and also as a spare room for guest {I can push the twin beds together to make a king like my mom did here}.  Lucky for me my mom decided she was ready for a queen so she gifted me the 2 twin beds she had... still following?  So for now those are in one room that the boys are sharing, and this is the other room.  I have moved the queen in here and will set this up as a guest bedroom for now.

These dressers were in M's rooms as part of his nursery crib set.  They have seen better days so the plan was to get rid of them, but I just can't throw away all of this wood!  I have some plans to repurpose some of it... very excited about that project!

For the other room I am envisioning bunk beds and then a super custom desk/shelves for homework. It may take a little bit of time to make all of this happen.. but hopefully it will all work out very soon!

Did you all have a good weekend?
What projects did you start?

Sounds great & so nice that you kids actually want to share. Love the industrial style shelving/desk

We are considering doing a unit like the industrial one in our dining room as a buffet and shelves.

Since I can't keep plants outside alive, this weekend I potted several for inside. Those I can somehow manage. Made me feel springy.

I can't wait to see what you come up with Tiffany! have you seen Michelle's bunk beds (from 4 men and a lady)?- they are fabulous, but ceiling was a bit too low for me. Anyway, good luck with these changes, I know you'll come up with something great. I've been cleaning up our outdoor stuff and after this long weekend, it's not pretty, but some progress already for sure. :-)

Aww I love that they want to sleep together! I'm hoping when mine are a little bigger we can do the same thing!
