Savvy Design Tip | Extra Long Shower Curtains

You probably have heard the tip that bringing your curtain panels to the ceiling will add height to your room and make your window look bigger, well I believe the same with shower curtains.  I recently did this for my black and white bathroom, and it really makes the space feel larger.  If I were to hang the shower rod at the top of the shower surround, your sight line would be cut off at the shower rod because there is still a 1/3 of wall above it.  Now I will admit for my bathroom, I do not use this shower, but if you do use the shower I have found extra long shower liners at big box stores.  Or you could take to and sew on the added length.
Either way... here are some other examples of extra long shower curtains.

I am loving the shower curtains with cornices!  Such a great touch to a small space!
The last one is from Jenna at S*A*S Interiors gives a great tutorial on how to take an actual window panel and turn it into a curtain that will take the shower curtain rings... super smart she is!

What are your thoughts on extra long shower curtains?

Never noticed these before, but I agreed it makes the bathroom look grander and more sophisticated, the cornice is definitely an elegant touch!
