Client Project | Tile Layout

Yesterday I spent some time helping some friends of mine start their first DIY tile backsplash!
At first they were a little nervous, but after a few rows he found his pace...
They have been going through a mini kitchen remodel... changing out the countertops, sink, faucet, and cooktop.  I am in love with their solid surface countertop that looks like concrete and that stainless steal farm house sink!  They really like a modern vintage vibe {seems to be a theme with me} so the mix of their cabinetry and countertops is perfect!

They wanted to think out of the box for their backsplash and loved so much tile, so I came up with a design to make it all work!  They have industrial copper pendants over their island so the copper lining really works well for them!  When you stand back it looks like some amazing grey and white stripes... and she loves stripes just as much as me {she is my good friend after all}!
The focal point behind the cooktop will be this carrrara herringbone.
Super amazing, but a super big pain in the butt to install!

Happy Hump Day!
