Client Project | Kitchen Design Update

Back in July I worked with some E-design clients on designing their kitchen and bath rooms.  They live in Michigan about 2 hours from anything with a big box store, so we had to be creative with the small cabinet maker and work on a very small budget. {See the cabinet plans and layouts}  It was a new build home, and even though it was in the middle of the woods, they wanted an "industrial/modern/vintage vibe."  I think we totally made that happen!  Here are some recent pics they just sent me!

I love the finish of the cabinetry and the glass tile.  They are debating about adding more open shelving, but they wanted to live with it to see how it functions for them.  And do you know what countertop is???  Laminate!  Budget did not allow for a solid surface, so this was an easy selection.  Since the cabinets are not going to be replaced for years they can easily have granite or a solid surface installed when the budget allows for it.  But I think they look great!!! Lam has come a long way over the last 60 years!

The bathroom is always fun because there is tile to design!  The sent me a few options of what was available at a local carpet store and I gave her a design that was modern, simple but still had style.  It was their decision to run the tile along the back of the wall... and it looks amazing!  It really has huge impact looking through the barn door to the end of the bathroom!

I can't wait to share more pictures as they get their furnishings {they are having them made by the cabinet maker!!} and decor items on the walls!
