My House | Design Dilemma

Back in November I thought I was in the home stretch to finishing up my Formal Living and Dining Room... and now it is almost March!  I am inching there little by little... but I am having the hardest time making a decision on almost everything!  I created my black and white striped panels that I loved... for about 3 months, but now I am thinking I need to go less graphic, less bold, different pattern?  I am also at a stand still with my cane barrel chair that I am in the middle of reupholstering.
This is the fabric for the chair with the existing pillows that are staying {it took me about 6 months to decided on those!!}  I love the fabric on its own... but I don't think I am loving it with everything else in this room???
Here is a little peek with the pillows and most of the fabric on the chair... See like right in the middle of reupholstering the chair!
What are your thoughts?  Here is where I think I want to go..
I know you all might be shocked by this, but I am obsessed over the need to have a black and white striped chair, and I think the cane barrel chair would be perfect for it!  But that means I should take my b&w striped panels down... and do what?  I am also obsessed over this graphic trellis fabric currently... the whole panel?  Just a boarder?  On white or navy panels?  I feel like I need to sway away from the solid panel with the boarder because I did that in my family room and the rooms are adjacent to each other.

HELP!
Suggestions are welcome!

I have two of these barrel back cane chairs that I purchased at an estate sale, both for $40.00. They are in pristine condition. One problem...the upholstry is '70's harvest gold in velvet and they are tufted. Eeewww!. I just can't put my finger on the right fabric. Love the black/white stripe. Since this is for you and not a client would mind revealing your source?

Mixing patterns paralyzes me. I don't even know where to start!
