Client Project | Beachy American Great Room & Kitchen Reveal

I think the part I love most about my job is seeing the room come together and seeing the look on my clients face when it is COMPLETED!  My client wanted the feel of a sea side cottage, with touches of Americana and roosters.  She loved red, blue, and turquoise...  Challenge accepted!

To pull this look together I wanted to add stripes to the wall.  At first my clients were uncertain, but after a few inspiration photos they were totally on board.  I found this mantel shelf at a local warehouse sale, and finished it myself with chalk paint.

I worked with the existing coffee table because it was the perfect style, but it just needed a new finish.  I refinished it with ASCP and gave it a good distressing.  I also worked with the existing sheers by adding the floral banding.  I had a custom cornice made for over 3 windows over the sofa, so adding the bands make everything looks custom.  Notice the big red tomato {as my client likes to call it!}?
Both of my clients are over 6ft. and her husband really really really wanted a recliner.  I sourced and sourced and sourced but in the end her hubs won this battle.  So I decided to make a statement and order it in red!  And he let us pick the most modern design... at least!  I think it works well!

I mixed the pillows up with all of the colors she wanted, keeping them mis matched and in different sizes.  I love the mix of pattern and that blue gingham!

When my clients bought the house they upgraded the cabinets and the countertop granite color.  So all we really needed to do was add a backslash and jazz up the kitchen a bit.  We loved the beige subway with a slight fade on the edges.  I worked some beachy blue glass into the backsplash, and made it pop with a stainless steel liner.  I love boarder detail around the side splashes.

I had a custom door made for the pantry and painted it out a barn red.  I also painted the island {not pictured} in the same red.  Most of these new houses done come with pendants over the island so we installed these amazing cage pendants with fun edison bulbs!

The clients couldn't be more happy and neither could I!

Don't forget to look back to the design stages and progress reports from this client!

Tiffany you did a beautiful job! I love that you had to work in some elements you maybe wouldn't have picked yourself but spun them to really make them work!

I love the stripes and that you were able to make the recliner work and keep everyone happy! I'm impressed by all the work you do yourself on the pieces you find. I would love to see a pic of the island! I just met with someone this weekend who bought a new spec home and Im thinking about suggesting we paint the island and change the backsplash!
