Savvy Bites | Whole Life Challenge Recipe Recap

Oh it is that time of year again!  The time when every one says they are going to eat healthier, eat low  cal, and every other commercial is Jessica Simpson running in skinny jeans and boots with a dog!  {Don't get me wrong.. I wish her the best of luck on her journey!}
In my house we tend to eat a low cal, low fat, no carb diet about 320 days of the year.  I don' talk about your fitness much on the blog because this is a DIY | Home Design blog, but working out and eating healthy is something that the hubs and I both strive to do everyday, but never more so then when the hubs is participating in the Whole Life Challenge.  If you are thinking... didn't he just do this?  Why yes he did for the 8 weeks in September and October, but a new year and a new challenge!

This time around I am way more prepared for what he can and can not have.  And I am actually excited to cook during this challenge.  I do not participate because wine is not allowed on the plan... and I am not really sure I am ready to give it completely up; but I do follow it... mostly!  The hubs enters the advanced group {the grouping is really just different levels of diet restrictions; advanced is the most restricted} so this means no drinking, no dairy, no grain, no soy, no preservatives, and no processed or added sugar.  Yes pretty much just protein, fruit, and veggies.  But I have gotten creative with my recipes!  I hope to share many more {one a week on Fridays} for the next 8 weeks.  Even if you are to following the challenge these recipes are super filling, super tasty, and super healthy for you!

If you would like more information about the Whole Life Challenge
I hope you have a great weekend!  I will be back Monday to share my Eames {Ply Craft} Lounge Chair makeover!
