My Backyard | Pool Plans!!

I know it is only January and many people on the east are digging out from the 10' snow walls in their front yard... but here in Nor Cal it is a balmy 68 and we are in a drought!  Which on a side not is probably not the best time to need to fill up a big hole with water... but we will cross that bridge when we get there!  For right now we are in the first stages...

A while back I shared my plans for the backyard.  Our house is on a 1/4 acer lot... and we technically have 3 back yards; a back, and two large side yards.  I had drawn up plans for what we had wanted...
No this is not my actual drawing... I get it to the pool designer and he made it all pretty!  But it is pretty!  And this is what we have stuck to.  In the summer time we layer the concrete pavers squares and the walkway around the house.  In fall we built the fire pit and bench seating... and now in the middle of winter we are on to phase 3... our pool; the right side yard.

These are computer depictions of the actual design!  We both wanted a spa but after doing our research {i.e. talking to all of our friends who have a pool and a built in spa vs. an above ground spa} we have decided to go with the above ground.  BUT I didn't want it to just be a concrete pad sitting weirdly in my backyard.  So we designed it to go behind a raised wall with two water falls!  I am so excited about this!  The best of both worlds!  I also wanted the pool to keep with our modern design and funky angles of the backyard.  The pool is perfectly designed to custom fit in the space and uses every bit of space we have!

If you can see the two windows in the CADD rendering are the windows in my formal living and dining rooms... so I will have an amazing view of the pool and waterfalls from these common areas!  SO much excitement for such a large hole in the ground!

Happy Hump Day!

your plans are gorgeous! And I like that you put the pool to one side of the house instead of the middle. It makes it feel like you have two different backyards depending on he type of entertaining you want to do. love it!

Fabulous!!!! Can't wait to see it all Tiffany! We have a pool, but it't not the kind I really want and would be asking you for more details about yours later. I would definitely be following up on your progress on this one!
