Last Minute Homemade Gift | Orange Vanilla Body Scrub

As I have mentioned, this season has been here for a while, and yet I have not done much about it!  It's not that I wasn't aware {we have christmas music playing almost 24/7 in my house}... but the days seems to pass and nothing christmas related has gotten done.  So as I was prepping things for J's and M's holiday room parties I thought "shoot, I didn't do anything for the teachers!"
A quick browse of Pinterest and I came across enough inspiration attempt my own body scrub recipe.

Orange Vanilla Body Scrub
Makes 3 10oz containers

4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
zest of 4 large oranges
1 1/2 tbsp of pure vanilla extract
1 cup coconut oil {melted}
1/2 cup olive oil
{plus some extra for topping off jars}

Start with the sugar in a bowl and add orange zest.  Mix zest and sugar well.  Add vanilla and mix well.  Add coconut oil and mix well.  Add olive oil and yes.... mix well!  Spoon scrub into jars leaving about an 1" from the top of the jar.  Top with olive oil.
I found these super cute jars at Walmart for $1.50 each and they have an airtight sealed lid!  I think they are the perfect gift size!
I topped them with some mason jar labels with a quick design via the Avery website.  The labels took me all of 3 minutes to do!
Homemade gift done in less than an hour!  I think handmade gifts are my favorite to give and to get!  And I can't even describe to you how SERIOUSLY AMAZING this scrub smells!
I have had it in my nose all day long!  It is heavenly!

Are you going to be braving the malls on the last weekend before Christmas?
