Vacation Pics | Venice

I have been home a little over a week and I am just starting to feel normal!  I am not sure if I had a really bad case of jet lag, or just really tired from vacation, but I just COULD NOT get my SH*T together last week!  True to form I have not stopped moving, but after a few days of HAVING to rest and take some afternoon naps I think I am back!
That being said... I have not even wanted to think about going through some of the 500 pics I took while in Europe!  You have never traveled with me, but I am the WORST at taking pictures... so taking more than 3 is huge for me!  I decided to divide and conquer... Doing small bits at a time.  So as I go from city to city I will share here!

First stop was Venice!
After a whole day and night of traveling from Nor Cal we arrived in the floating city!  Venice really is a truly amazing city!  No cars, just boats... a serious fete of engineering to accommodate all of the tourists and people that live there!

Piazza San Marco or St. Marks Square was always full of people and liveliness!  I love the gothic style of the St. Marks Basilica!  We didn't have time to take a tour, but it came highly recommend!

Most of my pics were taken from the balcony of our cruise ship as we were leaving port.  It was the perfect time of the day for the sunlight to hit buildings!
From Venice we started a 10 day Greek cruise!  Next stop Greece!
