My House | Thanksgiving Day Table

And the count down is on!  3 days and counting until we can stuff ourselves as full as the turkeys where!  And I always love to have a well dressed table to enjoy the holiday meal around...
As I mentioned before this year I have a small group coming for Thanksgiving Dinner {or Linner? because we like to eat at 3 so we can have a gobble gobble sandwich later} so for the first time I was able to use my actual dining table!  You don't know how much this excites me!  Typically I have up to 18 adults so I am pushing folding table together and using table cloths to cover them up and trying to make my mismatched chairs look ok... but not this year!

I will be using my newly designed glasses from my first One Item Challenge.

I made these small wishbone place holders... I promise I will share with a tutorial after thanksgiving! And I also embellished my plain white napkins from world market.

I picked up the owl salt and pepper shakers at Target last weekend!  I can see gold and black are on trend right now!

And because I have a table of 8 adults I will need a kids table for 6 rowdy boys!

I loved the idea of giving the kids something to do while the adults make their plates and enjoy their dinner.  I coved the table in butcher paper {easy clean up!} so the kids can color.  Maybe a coloring contest?
J was in the process of making these super cute pinecone turkeys for all of his friends.  He always is down for a little crafting!

Not that the kids care at all... but I still wanted to add the black and white stripe into the mix so I picked up more of these plates from Ikea.  I am in love with them!! I think I could use them everyday!

So...
Menu planning... Check!
Table set... Check!
Now let the food prep begin!
