My House | Fall Porch

Yesterday while the hubs was working out in your backyard and the kids were playing I thought I would spruce up the front porch for fall.  We had taken down all of the halloween decor last weekend so it was feeling a little bare!
{It was certainly not the right time to take pics!}
I was at the grocery store the other morning and right next to the front door was a whole stack of wood.  Typically it is duraflames and boxes of wood, but I spied some amazing looking birch logs!
I love, love, love birch bark!  I put them in my cart and then started debating on how to display them.
I recently saw Emily's quick porch makeover and it had stuck in my head.  I quickly searched my side yard to find a perfectly good pot not being used... the hubs happened to be going to Lowes so I asked him to pick up a some white duct tape...
 A little of my fav gold spray paint and some eyeball striping and I had the perfect container to display my rustic logs.  I love the contrast of the metallic gold against the knotty wood!

I used some pine cones and branches the boys had found on a walk around Nana and Papa's house for added fall decor with some left over pumpkins from halloween.

With the temps dropping and it getting dark at 5, fall has arrived!

I love the gold-and-white striped birch log holder, Tiffany! It makes a striking statement by the front door. How creative!

Loving this entire look - the bling of the gold and the earthiness of the wood and gourds. Great job on this DIY fall porch!
