Dressing Your Home for Fall | Satori Design For Living

Hello Savvy readers! I'm Shauna from Satori Design for Living, and I'm thrilled to be here sharing my favorite ways to dress a home for fall. Living in Canada means cold weather is imminent, and, although it never gets any easier, I do look forward to many seasonal offerings, including pumpkin spice lattes, falling leaves, October sunsets, series premieres, wearing boots and fall decorating!   Dressing Your Home for Fall- Satori Design for Living   Adding layers, textures and new colors to your home for fall really isn't all that difficult. To help you out, I've put together a list of some of my favorite home decor picks for this season so you know what to look for when you're out and about.

TRAYS

Hermes_Tray
{Elements of Style} Use to group a collection of items together on a coffee table, side board or console. Think lacquered, time worn metal or rustic wood.

CANDLES

Off White Pillar Candles- Pottery Barn
{Pottery Barn} What better way to create evening ambiance than with candles. Choose a variety of sizes in the same color for high impact.

NATURAL ELEMENTS

Glass cylinder vase with fall berries
{Source: Better Homes & Gardens} Bring the outdoors in. Leaves, twigs, berries and other natural elements are widely available and inexpensive this time of year.

POUFS

Dhurrie Pouf West Elm
{West Elm} Showing up in all shapes and sizes, poufs are an effective way to bring texture to a room while providing extra seating or a side table in a pinch.

LUXURIOUS THROWS

Cashmere Throw- My Habit
{My Habit} Like your favorite sweater on a chilly day, a throw is the epitome of fall comfort.

PILLOWS

Fall Patterned Pillows
{Canadian House & Home} Add some color and richness to a neutral space with strikingly patterned or solid pillows.

BOOKS

Decorating_With_Books
{Dollface on Tumblr}
Not only practical, books add a touch of color and personality to a space.

FRAMED ART

Collection of Framed Wall Art
{SAS Interiors} Think collected over time when it comes to framed art. Try mixing wood, metal and painted finishes in a variety of sizes.   The most important thing to remember when accessorizing your home is to choose items that speak to you. Don't buy into trends for trend sake only, and have fun. Thanks for having me, Tiffany! xo,

What a perfect round-up for cozy and comfort! Love it all, but I think my favorite was the tip not to buy into trends for trend sake. That's so key to making your home feel like 'home'!! Great pics as well!
