Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about it - the leaves turning, the cooler temperatures, Friday night football games, sweaters, boots and of course, pumpkins.
Normally, I'm not a "theme table setting" kind of gal.
However, I was so inspired by beautiful fall foliage that I just had to bring some indoors.
I clipped a few things from my yard and gathered other items from around my house.
Last year when a local fabric store was going out of business,
I stocked up on fabric samples.
These buffalo check samples are some of my favorites.
They also make perfect place mats!
I mixed some thrifted finds, like the old brown medicine bottles and the gold pumpkins,
with a few treasures I had on hand.
Like this lantern turned glass cloche and the gorgeous wooden vase
carved by my sister-in-law's talented father.
I love all the texture at the table now.
The woven chairs, the wool covered wing backs,
the flannel place mats and the fall foliage make for a cozy setting.
I tucked the silverware into the cloth napkins, tied them with twine and added a maple leaf.
I added a wooden tag with each of our initials to the mason jars.
Now all that is left to do is prepare a delicious fall feast.
I'm thinking maybe soup, warm bread and a pumpkin pie.
I am so stealing the buffalo check placemats from you Andrea! I LOVE your table! Simple and beautiful!
