Savvy Decor | Free Greenery

The other day I was looking to add some interest to my decor.  I had replanted some plants in larger pots and moved them around, so my balance of green was a little off.  As I stared at my closet of vases and faux green leaves I was not finding anything that was large enough.  So I took a walk outside to see what I could find.

My house and landscaping is less than a year old so I don't have many options to cut from, but with a little digging I was able to find some long branches off of a tree.
Once I pulled the leaves off to expose more branch they fit wonderfully in a large vase.

And I even snipped a brach from a low lying bush...

As a single stem it works very well!
I have always loved large leaves stems brought inside and put in vases... I just never thought I had the right leaves to do so!  I do have some plans to plant some green that I can cut and use indoors, but for now the free green will work just as well for me!

Do you have any free greenery you could be using indoors?

Need some badly. Other than my small fiddle leaf plants, I have to add more green. Thanks for the idea Tiffany!

Isn't it amazing that so often we think we need to pay $20 for good grenery or flowers? There is so much to choose from the back yard!

I love this idea. I've done the same thing and it makes such a different. Love it.

I just snipped off some hydrangeas, yesterday. I'll need to find a new favorite flower when we move. What flowers do you like in the hot California weather?

I love the simplicity of branches. Flowers are beautiful but there is something fresh about greenery!

Green plants anchor any space ... and yes, the bigger the better. I am just beginning to snip more and more outside. Even what I consider "weedy" look fantastic! xo

Love this look too! It is simple, understated and adds a pop of color that goes well with anything! Love those shelves btw! And I love the coffee table and bowl!
