Homemade Countertop Wipes

Since we are on a homemade everything in this house lately... I decided to make a couple of homemade cleaning wipes.  I love to have these wipes on hand for quick cleaning, but they are so expensive!  I thought if I can make homemade face wipes, why not homemade countertop and bleach wipes?

I decided on one wipe for the kitchen with organic cleaner and bleach and one wipe for the bath room of just bleach.

Countertop Wipes
2 1/2 cups of water
1/3 cups of bleach {or 4 drops of tea tree essential oil}
1/2 cups of all purpose cleaner
1/2 a roll of paper towels

Bleach Wipes
2 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of bleach

Measure out all ingredients and mix in a measuring cup.  Cut roll of paper towels in half and insert into a lock tight container.  Pour cleaning mixture over the paper towels.  Let sit for 15 mins, then remove the cardboard roll.

I like these 7.5 cup square containers from Walmart.  They are about $5 each.

I like to label mine with some chalkboard labels.  These wipes are super convenient & inexpensive... two of my favorite things!

These sound great. However, just be careful mixing cleaning products. If your "all purpose cleaner" contains ammonia; mixing with bleach will create chlorine gas. Chlorine gas is real toxic!

Love this idea! I despise cleaning my counters. This would make things so much easier.

This is a great idea. Such a frugal way to keep your counters clean. Does the tee tree oil have a scent?
