Gifted Brass Bar Cart

A couple months ago my Mom bought my a vintage bar cart she has seen on her neighborhoods website.  She has sent it to me and I said I liked it, but told her that I didn't have the money for it right now even though it was only $35!  I had been wanting a bar cart for a while, and though this one was great it was not really what I was looking for.  Well 2 days later my mom and dad came over with the bar cart as a thank you for helping them out with their Luau.

The top tray is removable, which is super fun!  I love the brass and the details, but I was not a fan of the large wheels... not sure why.  The hubs did not like it at all!

I have stared at it for awhile and thought maybe I could remake it by doing something to it... so I of course I hopped on Pinterest.  As I was browsing I found some super fun DIY and vintage bar carts.  Then I stumbled across a cart that looked like my and it was a sale listing for $300.  So then I got to thinking if this cart had any value... and oh boy!

A quick search of Google with "vintage brass bar cart" and turned up these...

You have got to be kidding me!?!?!  My gifted {$35} bar cart is worth anywhere between $800-$2200!!!  I am flabbergasted! I told my mom and she said sell it and we will split the money!  Sorry hubs {and mom} I think I will be keeping this one for a while!  It is growing on my more and more every $ minute!

What are your thoughts?  Keep it? Revamp it? Sell it?

sell it! I like it, but your hubbs doesn't like it and it doesn't sound like you really did until you found out its value. Get the money and find a cart you really love.

Keep it! You can dress it up and enjoy. If you want to sell it later, so be it.

What a fantastic surprise. I think once it's styled you'll like it better. Right now you're focusing on the elements you don't like because there's nothing else on it. If you still don't like it after that, then sell it and get something you like!
