Favorite DIY's and Some To Try

Happy Monday!
How was your weekend?  I soaked up every last bit of summer!  Even though I know summer is not technically over, J starts school today so life as we have known it is done.  This is the first summer we have had between grades {k-1st} so it really has been a true summer break.

So I my celebratory last summer weekend I did nothing productive.  I have really nothing to write about today... so I thought I would share with you my favorite DIY's I shared a few weeks ago over at Fancy Free Me.

Here are my favorite DIYs over the last 3 years of blogging!

My largest DIY to date was our Mini Kitchen Makeover when we first moved into our new house.  We ripped out some cabinets, added the backsplash, open shelving, and the range hood.  We also added more cabinets for a wine fridge buffet and changed out the faucet.

My best thrift store find was made into my favorite piece of furniture!  I found this Mid Century Modern dresser for $50 and made into a credenza for my television.  We removed the top bank of drawers to allow for all of the cable boxes.  We then retro fitted the middle drawers to be a pull down door for our printer and other storage.  Totally functional but still keeping the style!

My Golden Leaf Striped Tray is my most creative and cost effective project of all time!  A while ago I challenged myself to not spend any money on home decor for a month!  Use what I have and be creative!  I took a tray I already owned and spray painted stripes of aluminum foil gold.  Then I spray glued them down in a funky pattern and Mod Podged over that to seal the strips down.
I still use this tray to this day!

The DIY's are never going to stop... here are some on my radar now!

How fun is this light!  I think this would be an interesting piece on a console and also a great night light! I am thinking for my entryway table...

I have been looking for something to add color to my hutch.  I think a collection of sea glass in an array of blues would be awesome... and a savvy DIY if I pick up items from Goodwill!

I am digging these tie died lamp shades!  They have great texture... for sure will happen in my living room.

I have been eyeing this one for a while.  X ottomans are so expensive! I would like a pair to go under my upholstered Ikea Table.

Now that school is back in I can spend my 8:30-3 pm {have I mentioned how excited I am about that?!?!} hours catching up on some projects and starting some new ones!

What DIY's do you have on your radar?

Fantastic Tiffany! I LOVE your kitchen! Can't believe you guys did it yourselves!!!! I just finished my powder room, wall papered it myself, so I'm pretty happy with that so far. The kitchen is still in the works, but I have carpenters do it for me, not much DIY there. Love all the projects you posted too!
