Wingback Re-Upholster Re-do!

Hey you all!  So my week of being MIA turned into 2... but oh well!  Familyland has been way more busy and fun then blogland lately {no offense to everyone out there... love you all!} but it sure has been a great time off!  I did get some work done however... I {along with my mom and dad} reupholstered BOTH of my wingback chairs!  Finally, for the last 6 9 months {oh where has the time gone??} I have been living with two mismatch wingback chairs!

a pic from the holidays

I am over the moon about them!  The fabric is neutral with just enough pop of traditional modern on the back.  And can easily go with any other color should I change my mind... or when, ha!  I am so glad I used the back fabric for the contrast piping on the whole chair.  And I really like the same piping on the ikat pillows I added for color.

I did figure out what my hang up has been in this room... I didn't want to make it too traditional {formal living and dining room and all} and I was struggling with fitting in the pops of modern.

I had already purchased this blue/green ikat and still loved it!  I decided to use it for pillows instead of window treatments.  I also already reupholstered the other chairs while in the rental in this cool blue chevron... so since I am in the money-saving-phase of working with what I have they will be staying.  I am going to paint the table lacquer white and maybe the chairs too... I will see once the table is done.

And as I was searching my pics for a before pic of the chairs I came across these fabrics!  I had purchased these at the Joanns samples sale all for $2 each!  I will be adding some of these for pillows!

Love the chairs! The fabrics look great together. You should totally paint their legs. I think it would look super chic.
