My House | Painted Dining Table Reveal

I am so excited to be done with this table!  And I could not be happier with the outcome!  This table used to be my grandmothers table.  It comes with 8 chairs and I have always liked the style of it... simply classic!  But over the years the wear and tear {at one point this was my kitchen dining table} had made the table look shabby!  It was in need of a serious refinish!  I wanted to keep it classic but put a modern twist on it so I decided to go white!

I think the semi gloss of the white is a great contrast to the hutch and the dark wood tones of the chairs. I also love the cool grey and white with the warm browns.  They look amazing with my newly upholstered wing backs as head chairs and the chairs that used to match the table upholstered in that blue.  I still have to finish the 4 others in the blue fabric {you can see them next to the hutch in their original gold} and give them all a light sand and refinish.  I decided I am going to keep them the natural wood color... it would be a little too much white!

Next week I will share my tutorial on painting this sucker, the paint I choose and why!

I just finished painting my dining room table, so I know it can be a lot of work! I love how it turned out and the details really pop in white. I like that you're keeping the chairs brown - the whole room looks great!
