My House | Summer Closet

Every season I have to switch out my closet for the current season.  I am a have to see it sort of person... so if I tuck it away I will probably never wear it.  During winter I installed a couple of cafe rods to display/store my scarves, but once those were put away I was not sure what the summer use would be for.  Once I started putting my winter stuff away and bringing out my summer stuff I realized I needed more tank top storage!

I picked up a couple packages of shower curtain rings from the dollar store and used them to hang some of my everyday tank tops from the rods.  I left them unhooked so they can be easily removed!  Yup, I think it is pretty genius too!

The cubbies that housed my sweaters and t shirts now store my shorts and tube tops.  And the basket that stored my leggings now keeps my swim suits and cover ups close at hand.

The only thing I don't have in my closet is a tall area to hang my maxi dresses so I fold them over a hanger.  I store all of my dresses and skirts that were long or short so they are all in the same area.  Long sleeve tops get fold and put away, the short sleeve gets moved to the left and more dressy tank tops are hung up.  My shoes also do a switcheroo... summer sandals are brought down and winter flats get stored up high.  It is not a "Carrie Closet" but it will totally work for the time being!

Such a great idea. I can sure tell that you live in a warmer climate than I do with all those fabulous summer clothes. We're lucky if we get a few months out of the year to wear stuff like that :(
