How To | DIY Dipped Vase

When I was dressing my new cocktail table I wanted to add a slight pop of color, but was not finding anything that was working for me.  So I whipped out my spray paint and created something that did!

I picked up this glass vase from Ikea... I like the texture of it.  It had a little more character then just a plain vase.  I taped off the line... it was a random pattern.

Then I sprayed the whole vase with my favorite orange.  I let the paint dry over night.  Then I came back to add another line of tape just a few inches below.

I sprayed that with my favorite gold...

After letting the gold sit for a few minutes I peeled off the new layer of tape to reveal the orange "pin-striping."  Then removed the remaining tape.

It became my super simple remote caddy.. but flowers or a succulent would look amazing in it also!
While I had the paint out I also gave a decorative bowl a face lift...

I picked this up almost a year ago from the Goodwill because I liked the shape of it!  A little tape and the same colors...

A pop of color and interest to the low key side table!
