Outdoor Extravaganza Inspiration

Can you believe it is almost May?
Over the next two weeks I will be working on some projects for our front yard and will be excited to share them when 4 other fabulous bloggers and I host the Outdoor Extravaganza!

I have been feverishly pinning all sorts of design inspirations!  And I wanted to share them with you, but have you noticed Pinterest has made it very difficult to embed pins to your website?!?!?!  I have been trying to figure this out for the last hour!!!  Any tips to make it the way it used to be would be super helpful!

Anywho... here are some ideas I am throwing around:

I would love to replace my front door with a glass door.  My entry way is so dark and it is south facing.  If we could add some glass in there, it would really brighten the space up.  But that is probably not in our budget this month so I will be looking at painting my door a different color.  Our house is a sand color with off white trim but the front door and the garage doors are a hideous burgundy color.  I would like to paint both.  The garage a neutral color like the house and the front door a pop of something bright like this...

I would also love to have some steps up to the front door so everyone does not have to walk up the drive way... I love the arrangement of these!

Changing the lighting is going to be a must!  We have one dinky little outdoor light on the front of our house.  We would like to add 3 lights across the front flanking the 2 garage doors.  We have a standard looking tract home, so we need to keep it transitional and not overly modern.  I am liking both of these options!

And finally we would like to add more color and interest with planters at flaking the entry and on both sides of the garage doors.

I am loving the chippendale planters or the tall colorful modern planters.

Be sure to check in on May 15th to see what I will do with plants and flowers, and get your projects ready to link up to any of the sites above!
