Blogging Mixer at Low Brau

The other night I attended a blogging mixer for local bloggers in the Sacramento area.  I knew only one other person... the amazing Ashley from Domestic Fashionista.  If you don't read her blog you must check out her super amazing house and great photography!

The event was held at a fairly new bierhall in downtown.  The place has amazing beer on tap, a fun sausages and brat menu, and most importantly awesome decor!

That is Ashley and I... and some pics of the cool vibe.  I LOVE the white cage pendants {I think from West Elm, but couldn't find a link} and the grey and white-washed barn door that closes off the entry to the kitchen.  For such a large wall it has a great impact while it is still simple!  The all white cuckoo clocks always crack me up... still not sure what they stand for!

Even though I was there to network with other bloggers I took my best wing-ladies out with me.  They are always good to help start up a conversation... and one of them is considering starting a blog!  I so wish she would... she is hilarious!  And we already have a name... Domestic Disaster!
You would read that right?!?!

Here are some more pics of the super cool bierhall.  Check out their super fab chevron table tops!!

A huge thank you to Michael and Clay owners of Low Brau for hosting the event, providing the amazing food and beer!
And to Margaret of Nanny Goats in Panties and Nichole of In These Small Moments for organizing!

I think to cuckoo clocks are a nod to Germany which have made bierhalles famous - I think even the writing of bierhalle is German. And I would totally read a blog titled Domestic Disaster. And now I need to find a date night with my husband to check out the LowBrau! We live just outside Sac.

A beautiful kitchen is not only a feast for the eyes but also inspires great food! Yes, it's true!

Just as the inhabitants of a home feel a certain way because of their home decor, even a kitchen person feels as good if he or she is cooking in a beautifully decorated kitchen!
