Organizing Month Wrap Up... Thank you!

Welcome back to Monday!
This weekend was beautiful here in Nor Cal!  The weather made it feel like spring was here... and since it is already March, I guess it almost is!
February flew by {thought it is only 28 days}!  If you did not visit my blog at all in February, then you missed Organize Month.  I am still in the middle of several organizing projects that I will share as I finish, but I asked some amazing bloggers to share their tips and tricks to keeping an organized house and life.  Here are some of my favorite tips {not that they weren't all helpful}!  But before I get to that, I have one more guest blogger's tip to share!  I made a small whoopsie and posted a tip twice instead of posting Heathers tip from The Lovely Cupboard.
Congrats to her for just having her first baby!

***

Hi there! I'm Heather from The Lovely Cupboard here to share my favorite organizational tool, wire baskets. I am a sucker for wire baskets and could literally use them in every room of my house. Not only are they part of the latest industrial design trend, but they are so practical as well. I've got a few pics of my home to share how I've used them.

I found these little baskets at a flea market for $2 each. Then I washed and spray painted them to match the decor already in the room. I love how they let me see all my baby's cute blankets, bibs, and hats. Plus it's easy access when I don't have two free hands.

The chrome wire basket was purchased at Pottery Barn a few years back. I keep all my magazines for a few months and then change them out when it gets full. The pink wire baskets on the right were found at a flea market and used in my dressing/guest room. I used screws to hang them to the wall and kept my small bags, hats and scarves on display. This is great because it reminds of all the stuff I have; sometimes I forget if they are just shoved in a closet! (Since my dressing room recently became my nursery, I found yet another purpose for the pink baskets.) You can find wire baskets everywhere these days. If you frequent flea markets and thrift stores, you've probably seen some old baskets that need a little TLC. If that's not your thing, here are some great places to find new baskets.      -The Land of Nod- Down to the Wire Storage Collection      -Overstock-Large Wire Basket      -The Lucky Clover Trading Company- Black Mesh Wire Basket Thanks to Tiffany for organizing a great series. I hope you enjoyed the tip. Stop by my place anytime!

Here are some of my favorites that I have started to / already used to keep me organized!

Barbara from Hodge Podge uses baskets to conceal items that need storage.

Jessica from StayAt Homeista likes to keep things out that she will use everyday, but nothing else.  Look at here amazing kitchen!

To keep the overwhelming amount of kids art to a minimum, Elizabeth from The Little Black Door takes monthly pictures of her daughters art with her daughter in it.  It is a great way to catalog her work and monthly changes!
Shauna from Satotri Design for Living lives by the motto:

"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."

I totally agree!

Amelia from House Pretty Blog takes advantage of the vertical space to store and display things in a beautiful, functional way!

And of course who doesn't love the way Carmel from Our Fifth House has organized her closet?  The added touches of her scrap paper wall, campaign detail on her shoe rack and the heel moulding storage are just perfect!

A big thank you to all of the participants in Organize Month!
It is always amazing to share and learn so many helpful tips!
