How To... Monogram Cork Wreath

Sadly my cork wreath bit the dust in the move.  I was all set to make another one, but then realized my new street is lined with cute wreaths straight from Pinterest.  Of course I couldn't be the same...

It really was the simplest thing to complete!  I picked up a thin wood M when they were on sale at Hob Lob and pulled out the corks and hot glue.  I started at the top and worked my way down.  I took my gold leaf pen to the edges after I was done, but I would recommend spraying the whole letter before you start glueing.  Some of the back shows through a little bit.
{I swear I took during pics, but can not seem to find any of them!!}

To add my hanger I simply stapled some ribbon to the back.  This will be easy to remove and change with the seasons.

The color of my door was one of the very few things I disliked about my new house, but now I sort of love that it is a wine color!  But this "wreath" would go equally good on a black or slate blue door that I am planning!
**Savvy Tip: Add some bumb-ons to the bottom back of the letter so the wood does not scrape your door.**

This is easily one of the best DIY projects I have ever seen! So original, quirky and pretty! I think I might give it a go one day - maybe I will do mine and my husband's initials :) Thanks so much for sharing! xo
