Friday Finds and My In Numbers

It has finally turned fall here!  I plan on rocking my new boots today, with a tank top, but still going to wear them!  Last weekend the hubs and I took the boys to a local home show.  We were searching out a discount on an alarm install for the new house.  I know, of all things I could go to a home show for... but they do give rocking deals there!  We also gather many ideas for the backyard and garage storage.  And among the contractor booths was a little bit of craft fair art.
Here is what we took home
{besides an appointment with a security company}

How totally amazing are these skulls!?!?! {I know my mom will cringe at these when she sees them!}  The hubs and I were both drawn to them when we walked by this tent that had a lot of handmade good from Mexico.  I think they are just beautiful!

I really love the metallic details on them!  The black, white, and gold is going to go perfect with my plans for the formal living and dining room!

And I love the birds on them!  Totally a juxtaposition of a gothic with beautiful!

Yesterday Cassie from Primitive and Proper was here to share her 5 Favorites of Fall, but on her blog she was sharing her life in numbers.  I totally loved reading a little more about her so I thought I would do a little version of that for me.

My Life In Numbers

I will be 32 this month.  I have no fear about getting older, but it is crazy to reflect back to where I was just even 10 years ago and to see where I am today!  I am looking forward to the next 10 years!

I have been with my husband for 9 years and we have been married for 7.  We met via the internet, before that was a popular way to meet but we had about 5 mutual friends and our paths never crossed!

We have moved 8 times {including the move into the new house} since we have been together, lived in 6 different towns together, and including the new house will have owned 2 houses together.

We have 2 beautiful, crazy, amazing boys ages 5 and 3

I work out about 6 days a week at the gym.  I like to lift weights... a lot!

I have worked for 3 different home furnishings stores as an Assistant Manager before I realized I wanted to go to school for Interior Design.

It will be 3 more years until M is in full time school and I will feel like I can focus back on my design career.  Even though I take clients now, and I stay busy enough, I would like to really have the time to focus on growing my business.

I have 2 large dogs, and one of them has 3 legs.

I Tivo over 15 shows and only watch about 3 by myself.  The rest I watch with the hubs.

I started blogging 2 years ago this month.  I have made some great friends and I have the most awesome readers!  This experience has totally been amazing!

I have over 1500 followers, and 300 twitter and facebook followers, but I have realized the numbers don't matter to me.  I just like to write and put it out there.

I am not the best writer... and I know there are at least 3 spelling errors and probably 2 or so grammatical error  in most of my posts daily, but I really don't care!

I could tell you a thousand more number facts about me, but I could never put a number on how many thanks I can give my readers, friends, and family!

Thank you all so much for your support!

Have a GREAT weekend!

Love it! I'm with you on the DVR. I record a million shows (it feels like) but watch all but 2 with my hubs... that counts as quality time, right?

I'm glad I'm not the only DVR TV junkie! When I watch shows with out my husband he gets his feelings hurt, even if I didn't think he cared about Project Runway!!

I so want those skulls!! They are so 'on trend' at the moment. I have a skull tee that i wore yesterday (from asos) and the lady in the bank said "is that a skull on your tee?" "Yep it is!" She replied with "Oh you're so rock chic cool!" Its been a looong time since anyone has said that to me;) Not sure why I shared that, lol!!!
I'm hearing you on the 3 years til all kids are in school. It'll be a slow process for me i think to build a business. would love to do some design study but sometimes i wonder how to fit it all in (and afford to!) x
