5 Favorites of Fall... Drunk on Discounts

Please welcome Madeline from Drunk on Discounts!

Hi there Savvy readers! I'm Madeline from Drunk on Discounts and I'm thrilled to be today's guest blogger. I jumped at the opportunity to share my five favorite things about Fall.

  1. Fall TV
My boyfriend and I have a packed schedule when it comes to Fall TV shows so we turn into even bigger homebodies than we already were once the leaves change. Add a bowl of popcorn and have yourself a "free" date night from the comfort of your couch!

2. Think Pink!

My mom is a breast cancer survivor so I'm more of a year-round advocate, but October is the official month of awareness. I love how brands use pink this month, especially the NFL. Seeing men in pink shoes and gloves makes me so happy and, even better, game-worn merch will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.

3. Jewel Tone Nail Polish

Jewel tones are flattering on every skin tone which is good because I love all of these shades from the Zoya 2012 Fall Collection. I'm currently rocking a plum color but I think emerald green is next on my list. Nail polish is a fairly inexpensive way to add some pizzazz to your outfits.

4. Holiday Shopping
Unlike my mom, who buys holiday gifts all year long, I wait until at least September or October to get my shop on. I'm finally at the age where I'm just as excited to search for and find a unique gift for my friends and family as I am to rip open my own! I actually do most of my shopping online to avoid the craziness of the mall (and to hunt for the best deal) but sometimes I do look like the girl above. Except for the heels. Why would you ever shop in heels?

5. Fall Fashion

Like most of you, I love everything about Fall wardrobes, especially being able to transition my Summer dresses into another season. By simply adding a cardigan, socks, and boots, I'm able to get an even bigger return on investment!

***
Yes I love all of the new seasons of my favorite shows!  What a fun way to raise money for research, and who doesn't love some football?
Thanks for sharing Madeline!
