Friday Finds... Fabric

Happy Friday!
I have mentioned that a M-F work week does not really exist in my house... but I always find it funny when I start a post of saying "happy friday" or "happy monday".  But since the start of M-F school for J, I have changed my tune!  I usually get up every morning around 5 and get some work done on the computer.  Anyone who has commented on my blog has probably received a return email from me around that time of the day.  SO one would think that getting my son to school on time by 8:25 would be a piece of cake... Ummm, not so much!!! I am literally flying out of the door and praying all of the kids are still lined up each morning!  I know it will get easier as the year goes on and I get a routine, but I am so glad it is Friday and I can take a break from school drop off!!

Anyways... moving on to my find!

While running through Joann's the other day {yes literally running} I spied the Robert Allen Gate Stitch in charcoal on the clearance rack.  I stopped dead in my tracks!  I used this fabric as window treatments for this clients master bedroom and I just fell in love with the fabric.  And charcoal would fit perfectly into my design for my house especially my formal living/dining room... window treatments?  I debated then thought that I need to figure out how much I need.. then way the cost {but at $18 a yard can't be too back} and then wait a day or two to see if there is any coupons that come out to help kick a few more dollars off.  Then I got to thinking about the rest of the fabrics in the room.  {see I can't stay on one room for two long!!}

I took a few more steps and found this:

I fell in love!  So now I am thinking black side for the back of my wing backs, grey or black on the front with maybe beige piping?  Then using the black on the seats and inside seat backs for my other chairs and maybe something poppy on the outside seat back.  Am I getting too black and white?  I am feeling like I need some color, but should it be a loud print or just a plain bright fabric?  Oh the possibilities are endless!!

Did I mention I am also going to paint my table either black, white or ASCP Paris Grey.  And then also paint the chairs an opposite.  And I am pairing my very traditional table and chairs with an amazing MCM china hutch I picked up right before the move.  I have not even had time to share it with you all, and can't find a picture!

Ok... all information disclosed!
What would you do?

I love the dots, but I'm more partial to black and white than I am grey, so take it with a grain of salt!

I love black and white. Those fabrics are very striking. I would go with black paint.

I don't think it's too neutral , as long as you add in some interest with different textures (then again, I'm a neutral kind of girl and I looooove white!).

Where did you find these fabrics?? I haven't had any luck finding great fabric stores in Sacramento, not counting Joanns, so I'd love to know if you have the inside scoop!

I LOVE the Robert Allen gate print. We have just a little dash of it in citron in our guest room, and it's always what draws my eye first.

Whoops! Just saw that you say Joanns. But I'd still love any other intel you can share. :-)
