One Room Challenge Part Two... REVEAL

Are you ready for it!  It is reveal week!  6 weeks to complete one room start to finish!  I will admit I finished about a week ago, since my mom was having out of town guests... but none the less!
Her Guest/Boys Bedroom/Playroom is complete!
{To catch up on the past weeks go HERE}

Since my parents new house was only a 2 bedroom the second had to have many functions.  Here is how we pulled it off...

This was the before.  Pretty much a empty room with just a day bed and a trundle bed. My mom was getting little frustrated with the layout.  She wanted the floor space for the kids to play, be able to have the bed out for them to sleep in their own bed, but also be able to make it a grown up space for out of town guests.

So we decided to split the beds up and make it look like a double twin bed, and then push the two together for guests.  A king size bed is two twins put together so...

This is just pure ingenious on my mom's part!  They make a product to create a king!

Very soft lambs wools...

Placed in the middle of the two beds meeting...

Tighten down to keep them together.

To add another extra layer of comfort my mom placed a feather bed over both mattresses and the create a king.

The bed fits so nicely in the space.  Since taking these pictures we found a simple table to put in the empty corner for the other light and clock.  The bedding was originally purchased for my mom master.  We didn't want to waste it, and it works well with the Ralph Lauren like print.
{Remember my mom made almost ALL of the bedding!!}

So here is the Boys Room/Playroom

And Guest Bedroom

3 rooms completed in one space in 6 weeks!  WOW say that 3 times fast!

Be sure to check out the reveal for the rest of the ladies!  Even if they didn't get their rooms completely done, it has been a huge honor to be included in this challenge.  Thank you Linda as always for putting together a wonderful, encouraging group of ladies!  I so can't wait for the next one!  And I will have my new house to complete it in!

I can not believe she made all of that bedding- that is just nuts! And that create a king thing, what a great idea. Lovely room!!

This is pure genius with fantastic results! I've never heard of the wooly king bed converter, and always wondered about a solution, and now I am completely sold! This is exactly what I would do for a guest room - you can't beat the multifunction of it! Huge kudos to you, Tiffany!

What a great space! To be able to turn it from kids room to guest room with that kit is brilliant! I love your color palette! The prints to pillows to dresser, way to carry it through!

Barbara took my word- "Ingenious". I had no idea there was a product out there to create a king. Good to know. You did a wonderful job creating two different looks for one room. This room is clever and cozy. Congrats!

A wonderful job Tiffany!! And I love the idea about turning the twins into a king when needed. Genius!!

Wow, nothing better than a guest room suitable for all types of guests! I created something similar in my home, with the two twins pushed together to create a King. It's great, but after sleeping in it a few nights, the beds start to separate, creating a large crevice in between the two beds. I don't have that padding that you do, but it's because I didn't think it would help much. Tell me, have you slept in it/does it really work? I just can't stand feeling as if I'm sleeping in a bed with a crease so large in the middle you can fall into it!!

Tiffany, this room looks great - pushing the twins together was a great solution! Nothing like having guests coming to push a project into high gear and get it done! Your mom is lucky to have you!
