A few months ago I shared a couple of design boards for a E design client's master bedroom. Well, budget and life have gotten in the way. Haven't we all been there! They rent so even though they were gun ho to paint and change some things, they really don't want to spend the extra money they will never see again. So we are taking the things they loved about my design and trying to use the things she already has.
Here is the space planning we are going with:
Here are some pics she has sent me:
Originally the plan was to purchase a new king size bed and a new custom upholstered headboard... but that being a major $$ item they decided to stay with their current queen. But the furniture they have is one large set and she would love to break up the matchy matchy. So she is going to bring this iron headboard up from the basement.
She purchased this bedding from Overstock in platinum. I love it! She also already has the monogramed pillow shames and these Euro shams {pictured last} so we will layer these with two of these pillows in front:
The hubs loves the yellow and grey color scheme so we are running that! I am thinking she should do a white solid bed skirt and trim it out with this:
She also picked up the basic white curtains from ikea and is planning on trimming them out with this. LOVE!
From my original design we are keeping the existing nightstands and painting them out in ASCP. I originally specked pure white with a dark wax, but I am leaning toward the Paris Grey with the dark wax.
She found those lamps at homegoods... and they were exactly like the ones I suggested!
At the end of the bed she has a bench she would like to recover with this... it makes me so happy! And we are painting the legs out in the same grey as the night stands.
This is a vanity she had from her grandmother. I love it just the way it is and suggested a glossy white mirror above and a white vanity chair.. she is currently working on the stool as I type!
This was a craigslist find for $75! I love the scale of it in the bay window and her hubs says it is very comfortable. I think some graphic grey and white pillows and maybe one yellow will pull all the colors together.
This table she found at the goodwill and of course it might get a coat... though I am looking at it now and I like it wood!
The wood would be a nice balance to these metal nesting tables she found on CL for $40!!! I so want them for my house!
This is a dresser they are currently considering from CL. I would totally just leave the dresser white! I love the wood top also!
Can you see it!?!? I can and I think it is exactly what she wanted in the first place!
