Client Project Update: Living Room and Art

You might have recognized this living room in the pics from the baby shower I just shared with you last week... and yes she is a friend/client of mine.  She asked me to get her living done before baby, and we both thought that since it such a nice space, why not just have the shower at her house.  It really made me work with a deadline, but that is when I do my best work!

The room just needed the finishing touches like pillows and art.  Her and her husband love the industrial/vintage/traveled look... and that really is them!  They love to travel and wanted to bring some art that was personal to them.

I was wondering Homegoods a few months ago and came across these pieces of art.  They are city scenes painted on burlap and the stretched like canvas!  Seriously the perfect pieces of art for their space.  And all three were only $120 TOTAL!!  I called her frantically to get her approval and then thought just buy them!  Luckily her and the hubs loved them just as much as I did!

For the other wall we did a little large DIY art project.  They went to Europe on their honeymoon and took some amazing photos.  So I had an idea to blow up the Eiffel tower to place in between the two super tall windows.

In photoshop I resized her image to fit in 3 16x20 frames.  So the image was 60x16 {actually 60x20 and I trimmed 2" off each side... the picture looked better proportioned}.  Once the pictures were cut down place them in the frames and hang 2"or so apart.

I just love the way a simple picture can make such a huge impact!

I also made some pillows for the newly slipcovered couch...

I love the mix of pattern and colors... totally her!  We decided to keep her hubs table he made, and lower it a little bit, but the pallet wood has great texture!

Sometimes I wonder why people ask for my help... she did this all on her own!  Loving the succulents in the jars!  A perfect arrangement!
