Working Weekend... I heart ASCP

Oh happy Monday!
Did everyone enjoy a good weekend, and spoil their fathers/husbands?  I happen to be kid free for most of the weekend, and on man was that enjoyable!  I wanted to cram so many things into the kid free time!  I ended up getting a lot of things done around the house and spending time with the hubs... so I have no complaints there!  For fathers day the hubs had to work, so I bbqed ribs and oysters for my dad and FIL.  It was a great meal and a great visit!

One of the things on my list of todos was to paint out a dresser for this client.  We had decided on Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Aubusson Blue with just the clear wax.

I am super thrilled with the way it turned out!  I just have to give it one last buff and it should be good to go!

While I was sweating my *ss off in the garage during the 100 degree heat, I thought why not transform this small cocktail table for my mom.  A friend of mine had the Old White so I borrowed a little from her to work on this project.

I have sort of messed around with the ASCP before, but have not used it on such a large piece.  I am pretty sure I am in love!  I do have plans to attempt to make my own... thought I have read some review that it is not the same.  But I wouldn't be very savvy if I didn't try it myself and see to save a couple of bucks!  However, the real thing does go a LONG way!  I painted a 6 drawer dresser two coats and I only used less then a 1/4 of the color!  That is pretty amazing!

I will share the dresser makeover as soon as my clients see it!  I don't think it would be fair to show all of you first!

Did you all have a fun weekend?  Does anyone have any tips or stories to share about ASCP?
I am all ears!

Love ASCP! Can't wait to see the dresser.
Hope you managed to cool down. I'd love some heat, so send it my way!

I have heard that paint lasts forever ... I also heard you can paint furniture and then go over it with a damp sponge and it's not gritty like latex paint on fabric ...

The sneak peek is looking great, I love the color. I still haven't tried ASCP, maybe I will find a piece to paint when we move into our new home. I'm dying to try it.

I keep wanting to try it but just can't get over the price tag! I know I need to bite the bullet because I have a few pieces that I want to paint.

I love that color too, but haven't tried the ASCP due to the price. I've had good results making my own with plaster of paris. Yu should try it. Can't wait to see the reveal of the dresser.
