Weekend Randomness and New Love

Happy Monday!  Did you all enjoy the weekend?
Here in Nor Cal it was HOT!!  Like sweat your makeup off {reminder to switch to summer foundation!} HOT!!  Yay!

It was a busy "working" weekend for me.  I say "working" because thought I am spending time sourcing items for clients I am still shopping, and while I am "working" on projects in the garage they are for my house... so "working" is sort of a stretch!

I started the weekend off with a quick Cross Fit workout.  Have you done Cross Fit?  The best full body workout in 45 minutes EVER!  I am surely becoming addicted to it!
Then I headed out with my mom to do some shopping at a local antique mall.  She was looking for a bowl to used as a base of a fountain and a side table next to a chair, and I was looking for nightstands and anything else that jumped out at me.

I have a friend that has been looking for hunting down a gum ball machine on a stand.  This one was in great shape and only $55!  Sadly she didn't want to spend the money on it right now {I know how that goes} maybe it will be there in a week after payday!

We debated about these options for a bit but decided to think on it.

Then I headed out to a dear friends NON baby shower.

The NON shower was beautiful!  This will be her second, and much like me don't really care for the whole shower thing so we called it a NON shower.  My friend who hosted did super cute flower arrangements with fresh slices of lemons tucked into the vases.  Yes, the wine was flowing even thought it was a baby shower!  We made an Alphabet book for Brynn {super cute name don't you think} with cut out shapes and pictures.  That is baby Sofia {another friends 2 week old!}... she is just so stinking cute I had to share!

My mom picked up these very elegant lamps at Home Goods last week and asked me to spray them gold.

I love how the gold makes them feel much more warmer... It will go great with her new fabric.

I also put the finishing touches on my Color My World paint project, worked on window treatments for a client, and started working on and almost finished my new love....

Wait for it...

Last week I was out picking up a set of chairs my mom had found on CL.  They were not in the best part of town, but I did pass several thrift stores along the way.  I couldn't help myself and popped into a few that look decent.  In the first store I found this beauty!  I have been looking for a MCM dresser/sideboard for a while.  I knew if I was just patient enough I would come across one.  At it was only $50!!!  I will share what I did to this piece later in the week!

What was your weekend like?

My parents were in town visiting on Friday, Saturday my brother and his wife came over to watch UFC fighting and I made Olivia a mobile for her nursery. I'll be posting it tomorrow if I get around to photographing it today!

Thanks so much for stopping by...I love your blog and great to read that you're in Northern California. I love finding other bloggers that live in the area. It was definitely a HOT weekend. We had the windows open and the ceiling fans going all day for the first time this season!

I've added you to my reader so I'll be back for sure :)
