Client Project... Living Room

This weekend just flew by!  I was able to spend most of the weekend kid free with the hubs... sushi bar, shopping, and drinks out was just what we needed.  But on Sunday I got some work done, and installed some window treatments for one of my clients.

Remember this set of fabrics...

and these chairs?

I have had this project on my schedule for a long time!  The room has 4 LARGE windows that are 10' high.  I have made window panels before, but nothing quite this big and at this amount.

I was a little afraid I would mess them up some how... but they worked out perfectly!  They all are the same length, and they all hang very well!  Right now they have pins in them to train the folds a little, but I had to share the progress!

We had our professional installers our husbands up on the ladders!  What is it about ladders that men just insist on climbing them and doing the work?  My clients hubs was happy to help... mine was over it after two panels!

Originally we had talked about putting a smaller sofa on the large wall in between the windows, but they just recently purchased a new sectional for their family room so this was available.  After a new white slipcover... this turned out to be exactly what the client was looking for.  They are not formal people, and have large family gatherings, so this will accommodate a lot more!  I pulled it out from the wall for two reasons: 1. so it doesn't looked smushed into the corner in a very large room and B. because I didn't want it to flatten the panels, and they still wanted to be able to open and shut them.  Personally if at all possible, I like furniture sort of floating in the room.  It gives it the appearance of a cozy conversational area instead of it just filling up the room.

Their dog Westly loved the fabric selection for pillows!  He laid there the entire time!

They are in debate about the coffee table.  Her hubs built it, and I personally like it.  I would tweak it a little bit, but I love the top.  My client would like to move it else where.  I think she will win!

The chairs are a perfect fit in the space.  Now if we could just get their cat to not claw the fabric!

I love it when I can feel a space start to come together!

Love the combination of fabrics you used. Those are some big windows, so I totally understand your hesitation!

I'm in love with those curtains. I'm going to be working on some this week (first attempt) so this is perfect inspiration for me!

Those curtains look great! I need to do that with the pins to train some of my curtains. Is there any trick to it?

Wow look at those windows. I would love to have some that huge but can imagine how difficult it would be to hang curtains. Great fabric choices. They look great.
