Tightening The Purse Strings

Thank you all for so many wonderful comments about the house!  I am very excited to share the entire process with everyone, but I promise I won't go into house planning over load for the next 10 months! There are still plenty of projects to be done in this house before we pack everything up!

I feel like it has been forever since I have gotten my hands dirty and posted a tutorial!  I sat down to make a list of some of the projects I wanted to accomplish this month and I wanted to give myself a challenge.  I want to not spend ANY money this month on home decor.  I think know that I can still make my house beautiful with out spending any money.  Do you think I can do it?

Here are some things I have been holding in my head as inspiration:

I have a few more up my sleeve!  Does anyone want to take the no spend challenge with me?  {I have been trying to think of a catchy name for this idea, but it is there is nothing but cobwebs up in there... ha!}

 I am excited to get my house back in order after de-christmasing my house.  My surfaces have had a chance to breath and I can throughly clean all of the pine needles out of the nooks and crannies!

Happy Friday!!

I would love to be in the no spending challenge. Although, just saying that makes me a little anxious. LOL.

I have thought of this one many times, myself. I honestly don't think I could do it without spending ANYTHING! If it were 100 dollars or less challenge...I'll play!

I will totally join you on this one. Make something just using what we have or can find for free? I'm up for it, let me know!

I'm all over it, especially since I just bought something to do a project...I can now officially join in! After cleaning my basement work space I almost threw up with all that I had accumulated but have never put to use...what a waste!

I love the DIY's you have ... I wish I could just say no to spending this year, but I have a bathroom is desperate need of updating ... but I am thrilled that I have no "emergency" projects like I did last year with ice dams that caused part of my side roof to cave!!

Such a great idea! I'd love to join you, but I need to stay on schedule with my tasks for the month. I have a tendency to be distracted by shiny objects. Can't wait to see what you do.
