My Birthday Weekend Celebration

Happy Monday!  Did everyone have a good weekend?

This weekend I celebrated my 31st birthday!

So this weekend was nothing over the top... nothing actually really, but it was a perfect way to say hello to my early thirties!  I hung out with friends, went to the gym, took the weekend off from projects and caught up on my bad for you-but oh so good reality TV.  I have just barley started to get my new iMac working so it was a good weekend to not worry about it and just relax.

I also received the best birthday present from my brother... a new iPhone!  Now I was not really in need of a new phone.  I had a 4 and it was working just fine... but I have been crushing on the white iPhones since BEFORE they came out!  I waited to upgrade my phone to the white 4... and waited, and waited, and waited.  I finally gave in and got a black one.  But since then I have wanted a white one.  I am not really sure why I am so attracted to the white one... but I LOVE it!

Now if you have read my blog on any regular basis, you know that I am not a hugely deep or mushy person... but birthdays make me look at where I am in my life and take a minute to reflect and make some goals for the next year.

I do have to say I am pretty blessed.  I have a pretty amazing family that makes me laugh, and challenges me on a daily basis.  I have a career that I love, and friends that love me for me.

I have some goals that I will be sharing soon.. but for the most part I want to have a year that was as good as this last one was, if not better!

I have never had an issue with age... and I hope I never will.  Although I did tell J it was my birthday and he asked "how many are you?" and I said "I am 31."  And he says "I can count that high, but I don't want to because that would take too long." I was waiting for the "wow, that is old" comment.  But I do remember the when I thought 31 was old!

Now back to celebrating... Since it only comes around once a year, I like to make it last!  We are off to a night with friends for poker {for the guys}, dinner and wine {for the ladies}!
