Yesterday I finally found some time to pull out the sewing machine and make my pillow for the my wingback chair.
Do you remember the inspiration for this pillow...

What do you think?
To be quite honest I don't think I like it... on the wingback, or maybe all together. After reading your comments about the fabrics I did start to think that it is going to be fall soon {though it is still 97 here in nor cal} and maybe a nice green and orange would look good.
I think I like the pillow itself...
maybe it would look good on my bench in the hallway?

I think the pillow is awesome! You did a great job. It may compete with your chair though.. hard to say!
I love the pillow but I am not crazy about it on the chair...a bit too much going on for my taste - but I love both separately!

While I love the color mix the box style is really not meant to be used as a throw pillow so it would probably look better on your bench. If you really want to use that yellow against the chair I would use it as a welt against a solid green for fall and maybe reverse it for spring...the yellow pillow with a solid green welt. just a suggestion but you did a nice job sewing that...not easy!
The pillow looks great - amazing job, Tiffany. But it does compete with the floral fabric on the chair and does not do much for the solid part so definitely use is elsewhere. Black introduces a new color. Perhaps a solid in a couple of colors from the florals.
Love the pillow! Wish I could sew just a little bit. It looks like I'm in agreement with the others. Use it somewhere else and go with green or maybe a light blue pulled from the floral print on the back of the chair. Make sure you update us!
You always amaze me with your sewing machine skills. Your pillow turned out beautiful! I agree that it might compete with the chair a little, try it on your bench.
I really like the shape of the pillow. I have never make a box shaped pillow and now I am thinking I might just have to. But I do agree that something might look better than.
