Hello, my name is Karen and I am a spray paint addict. My addiction started innocently enough when I wanted to turn an unused room in our home into a space for blogging. With little money to spend (translation: no money to spend!) I had no choice other than repurposing old pieces of furniture that were collecting dust in my basement. No blogging space is complete without a desk so an old kitchen table leftover from the 90's country craze became the project that started my obsession with spray paint.
A light sanding, coat of primer and a few coats of what would become my drug of choice, white spray paint, I had a place to blog. But something was missing, a touch of color. Red and orange ribbon from my gift wrapping closet was applied to the edges using liquid starch.
I'd like to say that I stopped there, but this sickness that we call spray paint addiction had too strong a hold on me. Later in the week I hit up my supplier, Lowes, for more paint which I used to spray some mismatched frames, an embroidery hoop and a wooden letter "K" to hang above the desk.

That's where it started my friends, and it's spiraled out of control ever since. That desk was just the beginning. Lamps, nesting tables, mirror frames, the list goes on. I currently have a campaign style chest and a vanity table that I'm itching to spray. Will it ever end!

No, I don't think it ever will end, but then what fun would that be!! The desk is looks like the perfect place to blog and be inspired to create great design. I am really digging the ribbon pin striping! Be sure to check out Karen's blog:
She has a campaign style dresser that she is redoing and I am dying to see the finished results... will she spray paint it??

And now let us all repeat the Spray Painters Mantra:
Friends, help me source all the items I am searching for but can not find.
Give me the vision to think outside of the box and remember the can of spray paint,
and bless me with the patience to let each of the coats dry before I move on to the next step!
Cookies and coffee are in the back! =)
