So this half of my design domino effect is finally done! I am very happy with the way this space is looking and functioning!
When we inherited the desktop computer from my husbands grandparents it spurred a design domino effect starting with where to put the very large computer. After a few other places in the house, I ended up bringing my desk in from the garage and placing it next to the sliding glass door in the middle of my great room; adjacent to my kitchen dinning table, and directly in the sight view of the front door. At first I was not thrilled with the location, but as I began sitting here and working on this computer, I realized this was the PERFECT spot for a desk!!

But now that the desk was here and it was time to pay some much needed attention to this little area around it. This area was chalked full of projects... I couldn't be more excited!! I found a home for that chair at the desk... it was my first attempt at reupholstering {more to come on how I did it later this week}! I revamped my fabric covered bulletin board into a memory board and added a new linen covered inspiration board. I also hung some ikea window treatments and added a awesome red ikat damask boarder to them.
I found this lamp at Homegoods for $34.99!! I LOVE it! It reminds me of a Jonathan Adler piece.
Now onto the next part of the design domino effect.. the dining area right next to this space.

What a great spot for a desk, otherwise it would probably be just wasted space. Great job on the curtains, I love adding trim to Ikea drapes makes them look so custom (and expensive).
Looks like a very cozy little desk area! LOVE the chiar!
