Spray Painters Anonymous {meeting #2}

*** Just realizing this didn't post on Saturday =( so I will be bombarding you with posts today and tomorrow!!!***

 For those of you that don't remember me... "Hello, my name is Tiffany and I am a spray paint addict."

Yesterday I planned to show you all of the things I have attacked changed with my beloved paint can, but the post got away from me because there were too many things to show you.  Today I will share the rest.

A couple weeks ago I spruced up my dinning room table top {see here} but the buffet table that is in the same room was feeling a little stale and colorless to me.  Here is the boring before...

The lights are from Ikea {I have had them since our apartment days in San Francisco}, and the tray was given to me by my grandma {I have 3 of them}, but the rest is just glass and boring.

Hello color:

I really didn't add anything new... just spray what was there.  Such a huge change!  I sprayed the lamp bases with an amazing gold color {Design Masters Antique Gold... BTW I NEVER used to be a gold person but it is SO growing on me!!!} and painted the lampshades that beautiful Gloss Night Tide {Rust-Oleum}.  The lampshade were a little bit of a process.  Because they were red I had to prime them first... I found that out AFTER I tried to paint one without primer...

First I taped off the inside of the shade... I was going to paint them beige, but that can was from 5 years ago and had gone bad {didn't know spray paint can go bad...}.

You can tell by the left one that I attempted to paint it blue first but it just didn't look good!  I used a canned brush on primer {Zinnser 1,2,3 oil primer because I had it on hand}.  Then I sprayed the shades.

  Shockingly.. that blue vase is from West Elm, and it came that way.  I also sprayed 2 of the trays I have from my grandma... This one is red; adding the perfect pop of color.  I spray the second for my bathroom.  Here is the before:

After:

This is my downstairs guest bath.  I like the extra pop of color with the fun art above the toilet.  It just occurred to me that my Grandma reads my blog... Grandma I hope you are not made I painted your trays... I tell you I have a problem and I am currently seeking help!!
